If, like myself, you’re getting excited about restaurants and bars potentially opening up soon, you’ll also be entertaining the prospect of finally getting out of pyjamas and into something more chic. I’ll admit that I’m struggling to even put make up on most days, but I’m more than happy to rise to the challenge if there’s a swanky bistro involved.
I’m therefore very chuffed to have been gifted with two beautiful items courtesy of Femme Luxe Finery, which will definitely come in handy for future date nights and meals with friends. Especially seeing as most of my wardrobe currently consists of joggers and not much else.
I decided to stick with my usual colour scheme and opt for all black pieces. The first item was the Izzy Black Bardot Tie Front Organza Sleeve Playsuit from the Black Playsuit Collection. I teamed this with some pink fringed earrings and suede black heels, as I wanted to keep things simple and let the organza sleeves do the talking. You can tighten the front of the playsuit accordingly, so it fits nice and snug. It’s probably one of the more daring playsuits that I have in my wardrobe, purely because I hate getting my legs out, but I felt bloody great wearing it. I think I need to start wearing more clothes like this in the foreseeable future.
My second outfit was the Daisy Black Mesh One Shoulder Sleeve, Flare Leg Jumpsuit from the Black Jumpsuit Collection. It’s elegant, comfy, and downright sassy. I felt somewhere between a supermodel and an ABBA tribute, and I was very much ok with that. Again, I wanted to keep jewellery minimal, so opted for some nice vintage silver clip ons for a final touch. The asymmetric style adds a bit of drama, which works with the black lace sleeve very nicely. I’m definitely stashing this one away for a swanky date night (Dan if you’re reading this, please take the hint).
I’ve loved putting these outfits together for a little shoot with the wonderful Adam T, who was on hand to persevere through the wind and the occasional shower to get these shots. If you’re after a very accomplished and professional photographer at some point, please do give him a shout. You can find his work here, as well as his Instagram.
I want to start sharing some of my modelling work more regularly on my blog as I’m generally not the best at promoting myself, so keep your eyes out for more posts of me trying to act much cooler than I am in real life.
Let me know what you think about my outfits, and whether I need to take the plunge for something other than black. Preferably something with more organza sleeves.
